The degree to which high school students should work to earn money.

Firstly : Students who are in high school shouldn't have to work because their main
purpose   should be  concentrating on their school work. Students at this age
have extra -curricular activities like base-ball, soccer ,cheer leading, dancing ,singer and a
range of other things that could occupy their time instead of working. Sometimes these students are required to work more than five hours daily, in areas like fast food joints, and this is too much for our high school students.
These students might be given late-hours to work that might prevent them from being to school
on time and prepared for school, mostly when important assignment or test is due .High  school
students should not work because this is extremely difficult and at this point in their lives. School should be their main focus
Secondly: Students who work while in high school tends to concentrate more on work than
doing well in their studies, these students sometimes  feel like they can afford whatever they
want and school takes second place. They might some times use this money on stuff like
cigarettes and alcohol which can be detrimental to their school work and family life
and in these years ,we are trying to prevent this from happening to our high school students  who are our leaders of tomorrow.
Many people may argue  that it is unfair for students not to work while in high school to make
some money for necessities .However it takes away from studying time and this could be a real problem in the long run. According to the survey done ,
  other countries are more advanced and way ahead of our high school students in the same areas.
Others may also argue that students getting rid of part time jobs may have a negative impact on the family especially single parents with younger siblings.
I can see that this is a concern because sometimes students need this money to help in the home  and
to buy stuff that  the parent can't purchase that they need. We  must however look at the big picture
that if our high school students finishes their studies without thinking about work at this stage they  would be number one among other countries which would eliminate us from taking their best Engineers ,Doctors ,Specialist etc.
Finally high school students going out to work this early in life ,I would definitely disagree, its not
worth the effort while our counterparts are more advance and way ahead of us .We should be teaching
our high school students to stay in school  be ahead of the game ,and that working will be in a few more
years after earning the education needed.

From my point of view the white woman was very excited about the house on the hill with
with all it's two hundred year old history that comes along with it, because of the long line
of history that has been taught . On the other hand the American Indian could care less of all
the tribal stories that has been around.
The woman was very happy about  Walden Pond ,did you see Walden Pond she asked? with much excitement .
The American Indian was not interested in what she was saying but he did not allow to let his
emotions got the better of him ,so he just kept his feelings inside .
The Indians were living long before Walden came into existence even before his parents ,grandparents and great grandparents were born . So when the white woman  came
up with the idea about this 200 hundred year existence was very insetting to the American Indian.

The school children

The poet talks about the conflict a mother faces as she sends her kids off to school, the apples were given to the teacher as a reward to watch over her children in the absence of the mother. The mother was unable to be attend school, with the children so therefore the mother was uncomfortable when the children were not around ,the mother felt help-less when the children were in school.
When the children grew up they pull away from the mother to make their own decisions and choices, this poem makes you feel of time when you were young and free and you feel secure with your monitoring every move you make . It makes me think that life is good and you do not need to worry.

About me

My name is Allison Wilks, i am an LPN for about three years now and trying to continue my studies to become  RN(BSN)  worked at willow creek rehabilitation center, for nine years in the brain injury unit  which is very challenging but rewarding, currently lives in new Brunswick New Jersey . I have two girls 12 and 8 years old who keeps on my toes everyday .I am very hard working ,independent  and easy to get along with.
What could be challenging for me in this class is learning how to compose  essays in the right way to be successful on the excelsior exams ,this class will help me by attending all the classes, being on time ,keeping up with the assignments ,doing research .
